I've been hearing quite too much of the final winter solstice theory for the past year or so.
It may be yet another doomsday theory which you will forget the day after, yet the arguments hold quite strong with the Global Warming issue. Of course, global warming leading to destruction idea too is arguable in its own right. But the huge "What If" lingers. Sounds funny though.
Not going by the Mayan, Hopi or Edgar Cayce. They all sound lame enough. But then, if the black hole, the sun and earth do stand on the same line, could the rapid polar shift lead it all to another Ice age..

ok, so the sun and black hole can cause a polar shift... true... but what are the chances? ...and why does it have to be in a straight line.. i mean isn't the black hole powerful enough so that we can neglect the sun??.. besides, where is the black hole anyway? ... and why that particular date? does it have to do with the maximum tilt of the earth's axis? ...hmm.. ok so that must be it... maximum tilt.. so at midwinter, the sun attracts the south pole and the black hole attracts the other pole, and hence the rapid polar shift.. ..right???? ... but, where is the black hole???

any news/links from any reliable sources? who started it?

Firstly, I strongly need to say this... Reading your post was like going through Garfield's monologues. Really! No sarcasm there.

Coming back, you made me sound like I am THE ONE who is propagating this whole theory. What I am talking of is "what are the chances". Could be four years later or fourty. It was moving up at 20 km/ph initially, the talk, now I see it as up as 25 km/ph. If I was sure or anything near, I wouldn't have wasted whatever time on this little post as well. Steal all the money and fly to Bermuda rather. But I wish to know what the populace thinks of it. Now that there are a very few who actually do think.

I am not the one who will deliberately align the sun, the earth and the milky way's supposed black hole on some day causing the pole shift leading to drastic changes.. So straight, angular, zig-zag.. I don't know.
But still, I again would like to emphasize on my original emphasis.. What if? The Hurricanes, Tsunami, Trio-Volcanic Eruption on the same day, Global climatic change, Rapid increase in earthquake/landslide, war, war and more war... They're the propagator's arguments, and not untrue.

I called it a hype, the 211212 hype. So because the whole theory is based on that date. The date after which there is no date as per the Mayan Calender. Of course, there is the anti-thesis too, which is far more convincing and real. But this is not about the anti-thesis.

and thank you for the link.. now, that wasn't so hard was it? :P ...i am really interested about this stupid doomsday thing and all, but you should've given me the link earlier.. coz now, i'm suddenly busy again... but i'll try and comment on the initial topic as soon as i can.. before the doomsday, that is... ...and i downloaded the video but i couldn't take a look at it coz my computer's crazy thesedays.. cannot play all video formats... btw, Enya is among my favourites.. and that song too... (fishy, again!)

You know something, your posts are so full of subtle sarcasms that it keeps on confusing me.. which is very good!... the thing is, since they're very subtle i just cannot decide whether you actually meant them to be sarcasm in the first place... but i'll assume that you're intelligent.. and that makes you one very clever lady ;)

yep, hunger it was... feeling perfectly fine now... ..and waow! i just read what i wrote above and it sounded somewhat direct, hurried and rude!!!..with not-so-good correlation between sentences... strange what hunger can do!
